Dr. Patrick Cheruiyot Mutai is a Kenyan public administrator and politician currently serving as the Speaker of the Kericho County Assembly. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA in Finance, and a PhD in Business Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Before becoming Speaker in 2022, he served in the Kericho County Executive in several capacities, including County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning and later Public Works, Roads and Transport. His career has focused on county governance, public finance management, infrastructure, and legislative leadership.
