Hon.Stanley Kiptis

Stanley Kiptis is a Kenyan educationist, trade unionist, and politician who is best known for serving as the Governor of Baringo County from 2017 to 2022. Before joining elective politics, he worked as a teacher and later became actively involved in the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), where he served as the Executive Secretary for Eldama Ravine from 2001 to 2017 and was also a member of the union's National Executive Council. During his tenure as governor, he focused on improving education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and environmental conservation within Baringo County. Academically, Kiptis holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Master of Business Management (Strategic Management) from Kenya Methodist University. Following the completion of his gubernatorial term, he was appointed Chairperson of the Council of the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA), where he provides leadership in strengthening Kenya's national qualifications framework and promoting quality education and training standards.
